My youngest has lost her first tooth. It's been loose for several weeks, but May 1 it came out when she gave it a little tug. Much excitement! Much squealing! Pictures were taken (of the tooth as it lay in her hand, and the bloody gap in her teeth)!
I convinced her that washing the tooth would be a bad idea, then we put it in a zippered bag and carefully labeled with the date and her name. Normally we would leave it for the tooth fairy, but she didn't want to do that. My little hoarder wanted to keep it, so it is sitting in my jewelry box, where her older sister's first tooth is safely hidden away.
Her first permanent tooth is coming in. Now she is older than Peter Pan, and I have no more little ones at home. Excuse me while I go whine for a while.
